Last meeting:
22 April 2012
Our last meeting was held in Helensburgh, at Symbio Wildlife Park. For anyone who hasn’t been there, it’s worth a visit. Our Ordinary General Meeting was opened at 1:20PM The usual housekeeping was dealt with and the meeting was adjourned for the Annual General Meeting. After housekeeping all positions were declared vacant.
New Executive:-
- President- Doug Somerville re-elected, unapposed
- Vice President- Bob Elgood, unapposed
- Secretary- Max Blanco, unapposed
- Treasurer- not filled
- Assistant Secretary- not filled
- Committee- John Burchell
- Public officer- Max Blanco
- Librarian- Darryl Swan
- Exchange Steward- Wayne Newman.
The General meeting was resumed at 2:48.
Exchange stewards report was tabled (see Exchange Stewards page) General Business covered a range of topics including advantages of handling membership applications through the NSW body, possible changes to our Constitution, the continuing attempts to increase our taxidermed bird collection, a “Trade Table” at the Royal Canberra National Poultry Show in June and possible re-allocation of funds donated to WPA for the now defunct Green Peafowl Project
Next Meetings
June 10 - At the Royal Canberra National Poultry Show. Meet at the PWSANSW trade table
August 18- At Avicultural Society of Canberra Inc. 11th Annual Bird Sale then to Canberra Walk-in Aviary.
November- (probably 17th) hopefully near Taralga . (location to be confirmed)
We are still hoping to expand our collection of mounted birds so if you have stuffed (taxidermied) birds (Pheasants, partridge, quail, or waterbirds) you are wishing to sell please contact exchange@pheasants-nsw.org.au
